What is ALRI?

Our Story
The Lotus flower grows from rhizomes (underground plants) in muddy soil. Though its roots are steeped in mud from it's inception, this flower grows by pushing constantly upwards toward light and warmth above the ground . By the time the flower emerges from the mud, blooming in defiance of the dirt that was its womb, it becomes a creature of pristine beauty. It is a visual reminder to us, of the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and life over death. In many cultures, the lotus flower is a symbol of unconditional love, enlightenment and transformation from darkness to light and eternal life.
To us at ALRI, as Christians, it is a symbol of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who overcame the darkness of this world to reign victoriously in heaven! The Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua) came down to Earth from heaven, was born of the virgin Mary, suffered crucifixion and died hanging on a tree in order to accomplish salvation for human kind. On the third day after his death, he rose triumphantly from death and ascended to His throne in heaven. He now reigns in heaven, in all His beauty and eternal glory, interceding for us who believe that the sacrifice of his life has saved us from eternal death. Through his death and resurrection, and by our faith in the saving power of His shed blood, we are saved from darkness and eternal destruction.
In the Songs of Solomon, our Lord Jesus Christ is symbolized by the Rose of Sharon. The plain of Sharon, located in ancient Israel, is known for its fertility, abundance and beauty, which symbolizes the spiritual abundance and hope that the Lord gives His church. More specifically, the Rose of Sharon is a representation of love, of the deep and intimate relationship the Lord has with His Church, which is not a building of brick and mortar but flesh and blood, you and I. Like the lotus flower, the rose thrives in harsh conditions and it's tenacity is concealed by it's vibrant, layered, fragrant and delicate beauty. The rose, a symbol of the marriage commitment, here signifies the marriage between the Lord and His bride, His people.
ALRI is a community dedicated to celebrating the love of God for all of us. We search the scriptures for guidance on how to live our lives on Earth, we pray consistently and diligently for the Holy Spirit to help us live Godly lives in present day culture, and to manifest God's Kingdom on Earth. We support and welcome all who are walking in faith, all who are looking to participate in the knowledge and wisdom of God and all who are looking to find The Way, The Truth and The Life.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life and that no one comes to the living God, The Most High, except through Him. We believe that through our faith in the atoning sacrifice of our Lord, and by God's grace, we are forgiven of our errors and have passed from death to eternal life.
The ALRI symbol is a reminder to us of God's wisdom, sovereignty and His unfailing love. It is an image that reminds us of our own inherent nature, as creatures made in the image of God, which enables us to triumph over darkness and to strive towards the light of the living God. Through faith, we are able to inherit all the promises of God which are found in the scriptures and to live the abundant life that Christ came to give us.

".....they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a great trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
Matthew 24:30-31
